Gold Rush at Halls Creek Western Australia 2015
Our gold adventure took a marvelous turn for the better when we arrived at Halls Creek this year.
After some research and hearing many stories from some older prospectors we decided on a camp spot not far from potential gold bearing ground. Within half an hour Ann had found her first piece and we both sighed with relief and our excitement and confidence grew. Surely there will be more for us to find out there? It is somewhat of an unknown when going to new spots as to whether gold would be found or not and working out the lay of the land. So finding that first piece is always exciting.
The weather was simply great and we enjoyed the sunshine while some of our friends in Southern parts of Australia were wrapped up in jumpers and beanies.
Each day of detecting here was exciting and every day we found some gold! Some days more than others. Like the day we found a total of 14 nuggets weighing a total 2.9 grams. We called it our ‘Gold Rush’ day because it seemed that everywhere we went we found another gold nugget. There were also a couple of sun bakers! And although the nuggets weren’t huge ones, we always say, all gold is good gold and it was one of the most exciting detecting days we had on our 2015 Western Australia gold prospecting trip this year!
Here is the Video titled “Gold Rush At Halls Creek – Western Australia 2015”, we hope you enjoy watching it.
Good Luck and Keep Digging!!
Cheers,
